The Schusterman Family Foundation focuses on promoting education, leadership, and Jewish identity.
The Foundation wished to launch an interactive resource to help nonprofit professionals measure, evaluate, and share the impact of their work.

As the project’s strategic lead, I worked closely with Foundation staff to adapt their design prototypes into functional, standards-based templates that displayed well on a variety of devices. We added interactive touches to bring the experience to life. As you explore the Playbook, you’ll notice many subtle design touches such as pull-out quotes flying in from the wings or lightly pulsating design elements that beckon the you to dig deeper.

Given the project’s short timeline, and relatively small scope, I recommended going “CMS-less.” We implemented the solution using Jekyll, an open source static-site generator.

The client was thrilled with the product, and the Playbook has receives wide coverage in the Chronicle of Philanthropy, GuideStar, NTEN, and other major destinations for nonprofit news and resources.
